That’s what all the grown up women wore back then, and I admired the smooth clean nylons over the heavy rough bulky tights I had. Even the silky tights I found would sag and droop with activities, were warmer than I liked, and didn’t have the same overall feeling as sheer hose. I never liked the heavier material legwear. I like to show my legs are healthy, toned and taken care of too. sheer hose do all of that and then some. Also, for me, tights generally conceal most skin tone, blemishes and can add mass to the silhouette of your legs with the wrong color.
I also couldn’t wear them with my work attire properly. Tights, skirt and heels in a office doesn’t look as professional as sheer hose/bare legs. I will wear tights maybe once a year on a cold night. I would rather wear hose and wear another layer on top and warm socks over hose, feel comfortable about myself, over the uneasiness of wearing tights. I’m probably in the minority about tights, especially the feelings accompanied with wearing them. I know that’s all some people wear and hate sheer hose. I have two girl friends that we go back and forth on this topic every year or so and I have been assured I am wrong lol.
I like wearing pretty girl tights ,every time I wear them I feel such a super satisfying feeling, my attraction to wear tights is overwhelming .show your tights I have worn tights before, and I enjoy them to a certain extent, but after a while I start to feel out of place and silly. I get feelings of grade school and looking frumpy. I don’t feel as confident in tights compared to pantyhose either. I still have tights in the house, but they sit rolled up in the back of the bottom drawer along with the leggings and thigh highs. I feel the same way about knee high socks and short booty style shorts. Immature, childish, inappropriate are the feelings i have wearing those things. I would rather wear pantyhose in almost every occasion you would wear tights for, and it almost always looks cleaner and more finished with pantyhose. I had a bad initial experience with tights. my first pair was the heavy thick scratchy wool tights. there was no alternative to wearing tights or the type I was offered. Bare legs was not allowed. I had to wear them every monday night, wednesday night, and all day sunday. family get togethers too. I grew to dislike tights all together over time.
